Difference War 1

This is a game for two players. The object is to collect the most cards.

Materials

• 4 sets of Digit Cards 0–9
• Difference War Game Board 1 from the Student Activity Book
• pencil
• paper

Directions

1. Deal four cards to each player.
   Example:
2. Each player makes a subtraction problem with the four cards.
   Example:
3. Each player solves his or her subtraction problem.
4. The player whose answer is the smallest collects everyone's cards.
5. Deal four more cards to each player and make up more problems. Keep playing until the cards are gone.
6. When all the cards are gone, the player who has collected the most cards wins.
