Largest to Smallest

The object of the game is to be the first player to reach 1000. This game is for two to four players.

Materials

  • 0–6 spinner
  • clear plastic spinner or a pencil and paper clip
  • paper

Directions

On your turn,

  1. Spin the spinner three times and use the numbers to make the largest three-digit number possible. Write this number on a sheet of paper.
  2. Spin the spinner again three times and use these numbers to make the smallest three-digit number possible. Write this number on a sheet of paper. If this second number is larger than the first, spin again.
  3. Subtract the smaller number from the larger number. The answer is your score for the round.
  4. Add the score from this round to your scores from the other rounds. The first player to reach 1000 is the winner.

Variation

Change the winning goal or the size of the numbers. For example, spin to make four-digit numbers and try to reach the sum of 10,000.
