• Assign the Naming Wholes and Parts Homework page in the Student Activity Book after Part 2.
• Assign the More Fraction Rectangles Homework pages in the Student Activity Book after students have completed the Fraction Challenge pages in Summarizing the Lesson.
• Assign DPP items I–L. In Task J, students identify fractions using area models. In Challenge L, students solve riddles involving numerators and denominators.

Math Facts. In Bit I, students explore different strategies for solving the multiplication facts for the 3s. In Bit K, students are asked to write fact families for some of the multiplication facts for the 2s and 3s.
