LESSON 6 Sandwich Mass

Weight and Mass

Professor Peabody is having trouble telling the difference between weight and mass. He knows that mass is the amount of matter in an object and that weight is a measure of the pull of gravity. But it is hard to tell the difference on Earth. So he decides to travel to the moon to see what happens to his weight and mass.
Professor Peabody weighs 148 pounds on Earth. He discovers that his weight on the moon is less than his weight on the Earth. Why do you think this happens?
