Buzz

The object of the game is to extend the pattern and keep it going for as long as possible. This is a game for two or more players.

Materials

• None required.

Directions

1. Choose an even number from 2 through 8, such as 6.
2. Players begin by taking turns in skip counting by twos.
3. Anytime the number has a 6 in it, the player replaces the number for the word “buzz.” Example: “2, 4, BUZZ, 8...14, BUZZteen, 18,” and so on.
4. Repeat rounds by choosing another “buzz” number.

Variation

Players continue to create new games with other “buzz” numbers. The counting could be by ones or players can skip count by different numbers. The game can be even more challenging by having two “buzz” numbers.
