The symbol > means greater than. In a number sentence it means that the number on the left is larger than the number on the right. For example, 23 is greater than 12 or 23 > 12.

groupings

To place in groups to make counting easier. For example, groupings of twos, fives, or tens make it easier to find the total by skip counting.

One group of hundred is equal to 10 tens or 100 ones. Objects placed in groups of hundred make it easier to find the total by skip counting.

A kind of pattern that gets bigger or smaller in a way you can predict. For example, if a Gzorp starts with 1 square and has a +4 growth pattern, you can predict that it will have 17 squares when it is 5 years old.
