LESSON 6 Workshop: Problem Solving with Data

Self-Check

Use the questions in the table below to review your progress with making bar graphs with categorical or numerical data, reading tables and bar graphs, and making predictions and generalizations using tables and bar graphs.

  • Look at each row in the table.
  • For each row, decide whether you are “Working On It,” you are “Getting It,” or you already “Got It.”
  • Remember, you may feel you are “Working On It” for one row, but for another row, you have already “Got It.”
  • On this table, choose a set of problems to do.
  • If one set of problems seems too easy or too hard, choose a different set from the same row.

Complete the questions you have chosen on the pages that follow. When needed, use Centimeter Graph Paper or Line Plot Paper.
