Describing Shapes

• Assign the My Shape Picture Homework Master. Students draw shapes or cut out pictures from magazine to create a shape picture. In class, ask students to identify the shapes they used.
• Assign DPP items E–H. Item E provides practice with telling time on a calendar and item F involves solving problems involving dates. In item H, students describe and compare the properties of two different rhombuses.

Math Facts. In DPP item G, students practice counting on and counting back.
