Prepare Strips Master. Make copies of the Strips Master, one copy for four students plus some extras. Cut apart the strips so that each student has one or two strips. Tape two grid strips together end-to-end for numbers greater than 20. Prepare a few extras for use on a display.

Prepare a Number Card for Each Student. Starting at 1, write consecutive numbers on large self-adhesive notes so each student has a different number.

Even or Odd Cards. Make one copy of the Even or Odd Cards Masters and cut apart the cards to display while playing Number Flash: Even or Odd during Summarizing the Lesson.

Prepare Optional Targeted Practice. Copy and cut apart the cards on the Even or Odd Cards Masters to allow pairs of students to play Number Flash: Even or Odd. Place each set of cards in an envelope and place them in a center or make them available to students to play.
