- Assign the Homework section in the Student Guide. It provides practice composing and decomposing numbers into groups of hundreds, tens, and ones and representing the partitions with base-ten shorthand.
- Assign DPP items C–F. Task D asks students to solve a multiplication story using fractions.
Math Facts. For Bit C, students use flash cards to practice and assess themselves on the subtraction facts in Groups 5 and 6. They record their progress on Subtraction Facts I Know charts.
DPP Bit E provides practice with the subtraction facts in Group 5.
Task F asks students to write stories, draw pictures, and write number sentences for multiplication problems involving 2s.
Students take home their Subtraction Flash Cards for Groups 5 and 6 to practice with a family member.
