Homework and Practice

  1. Assign the Homework section in the Student Guide. It provides practice composing and decomposing numbers into groups of hundreds, tens, and ones and representing the partitions with base-ten shorthand.
  2. Assign DPP items C–F. Task D asks students to solve a multiplication story using fractions.

Math Facts. For Bit C, students use flash cards to practice and assess themselves on the subtraction facts in Groups 5 and 6. They record their progress on Subtraction Facts I Know charts.

DPP Bit E provides practice with the subtraction facts in Group 5.

Task F asks students to write stories, draw pictures, and write number sentences for multiplication problems involving 2s.

Students take home their Subtraction Flash Cards for Groups 5 and 6 to practice with a family member.
