Workshop: Place Value

- Students can complete any unfinished problems from the Workshop.
- Assign DPP Items O–T. In Bit O, students look for patterns in addition. Bit Q asks students to represent a number in more than one way. In Challenge R, students are asked to use mental math strategies for all four operations.
Math Facts. Task P assesses students' abilities to use fact strategies, drawings, and number sentences to solve word problems involving multiplication facts for the 2s and 3s.
Bit S assesses students' abilities to determine the unknown in an addition or subtraction sentence relating three whole numbers for the facts in Groups 5 and 6.
Task T asks students to use strategies for the subtraction facts in Group 6 to solve a word problem.
