The Coat of Many Bits

• Assign the Standard and Expanded Form Homework pages in the Student Activity Book.
• Assign DPP items E–J. In Bit E, students review finding the area of a shape using symmetry and counting square centimeters. Bit G provides practice with multidigit subtraction. In Task H, they compare numbers, both in standard form and broken into partitions. Items I and J are word problems, one involving time.

Math Facts. In DPP Task F, students develop strategies for subtraction and for the multiplication facts.
