Addition with Larger Numbers

• Assign the Homework section of the Addition with Larger Numbers pages in the Student Guide after Part 3 of the Lesson.
• Students can play Digits Game at home with a family member. They will need a set of Digit Cards 0–9.
• Assign the Adding the Parts pages in the Student Activity Book after Part 4. Students will need the Addition Strategies Menu in the Student Guide Reference section.
• Assign DPP items U–BB. In Bit U students estimate the sum of area measurements. In Bit W, students solve a subtraction problem using a number line. Bit Y and Challenge Z involve estimation. In Bit AA, students complete open number sentences for addition and multiplication. Task BB asks students to compare length measurements.

Math Facts. In Task V and Challenge X, students develop strategies for multiplication facts for the 9s.
