Close Enough!

• Assign the Homework section of the Rounding Numbers page in the Student Activity Book.
• Assign the Homework section of the Close Enough! pages in the Student Guide. Choose one or two questions to discuss estimation strategies.
• Assign DPP items K–P. Task L is a word problem that can be solved using skip counting by four. Bit M is a reminder to update the monthly calendar using the factor for the month to explore multiples. For Tasks N and P, students solve word problems involving money.
• Assign Home Practice Parts 3–4. In Part 3, students review place value. In Part 4, they solve word problems that involve time and money.

Math Facts. For Bit K, students practice subtraction facts from all groups. In Bit O, students practice subtraction facts from all groups by completing addition and subtraction number sentences relating three whole numbers.
