  1. Possible response using skip counting: 6 cans
    (3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 17 people) (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 cans)
  2. $2 × 6 = $12

J. Beans for Dinner

Fifteen boys are planning an overnight camping trip. Two fathers will also go. They will have beans for dinner.

  1. One can of beans will feed 3 boys and the two fathers will share a can. How many cans of beans will they need?
  2. If each can of beans costs $2, how much will all the dinner beans cost?
