TIMS Bit

Students were introduced to multiples on the calendar in Unit 3 Lesson 5. Record number sentences on the monthly calendar.

Answers will vary depending on the factor for the month and the specific date of the DPP item. The answers provided are based on using 5 as the factor. The date used for these answers is December 5th.

  1. 5
  2. Yes. When you skip count by 5s it is the first number you say.
  3. December 5 × 1 = 5
  4. No. When you skip count by 5s you do not land on 6.
  5. We have already circled 5. I predict that we will circle 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30.
  6. There are four dates not circled between the circled dates. Every 5 days is circled. The pattern of circled numbers is odd, even, odd, even. When we are all done there will be six numbers circled. The numbers we circle all end in 5 or 0.
