Est. Class Sessions: 3Homework and Practice
- Assign the Homework section in the Student Guide. These problems provide practice with estimation and can be divided over three nights for homework.
- Assign DPP items I–N. In DPP Bit I, students use place value and addition and subtraction to change a number. In Task J, students practice subtracting time by converting hours to minutes. Students solve problems involving money in DPP Bit K. Students use a number line to compose and decompose large numbers in DPP Task N.
- Students solve multistep problems using fractions in DPP Challenge L. This item can be used as a Problem of the Week.
Math Facts. In DPP Bit M, students practice the multiplication facts for the 2s and 3s by multiplying multiples of 10.
