Compare and Order Masses

• Assign the Mass Hunt Homework Master. Students search for two objects at home that they predict have similar masses and check their predictions at school with the two-pan balance.
• Assign DPP items A–D. In items B and C, students practice representing the partitions of a number.
• Assign Home Practice Parts 1–2.

Math Facts. In DPP item A and Home Practice Part 1, students sort the Triangle Flash Cards: Group F. In DPP item D, students practice the addition facts in Group F. In Home Practice Part 2, students practice the addition facts and the related subtraction facts in Group F.
