Balanced and Equal

• Assign the Balance or Tilt Homework Masters. Students will solve expressions on each side of a two-pan balance and determine whether the scale will balance or tilt.
• Assign DPP items G–H. In item H, students use their addition facts to solve problems involving money.

Math Facts. In DPP item G, students practice the using-ten strategy to solve the addition facts in Group F.
