Using Maps

• The Using Coordinates Homework in the Student Activity Book provides practice using coordinates and a scale on a map. Students will need a centimeter ruler.
• Assign DPP items C–F. Bit C provides practice with the multiplication facts for the nines and solving problems involving elapsed time. Task F provides review of identifying fractional parts of a set.
• Assign Challenge D as the Problem of the Week. Students use their multiplication facts to find a mystery number.

Math Facts. In Bit E, students solve word problems that involve the multiplication facts.

Remind students to take home Triangle Flash Cards: Last Six Facts and the list of facts they need to study, so they can prepare for the assessment of the last six facts in DPP Bit S and Task V.
