Mass vs. Number

Extension

  • Students can make their own predictions for different numbers of objects and check them.
  • If different groups have used different objects in the Mass vs. Number lab, you can make a large group graph and compare the data from the various groups. Before you create the graph, be sure to plan how you will number the vertical axis so that all the lines will fit on your graph.
  • What does it mean if one group's line is steeper than another's? (The steeper the line, the greater the mass of the objects.)
