Patterns in Addition and Subtraction

• Assign the More Rule Machines Homework Master to give students more practice using patterns to add.
• Assign Home Practice Parts 3–4. In Part 4, students use a 100 Chart to solve addition problems with multiples of ten.
• Assign DPP items K–N. In item N, students build a cube model and use skip counting to find its volume.

Math Facts. In Home Practice Part 3, students use strategies to find missing numbers in number sentences involving facts from Group C. In DPP item K, students use one fact to solve related facts in Group C. In item L, students solve word problems involving the facts. Item M provides more practice with the addition and related subtraction facts in Group C as students complete fact families.
