Workshop: Multidigit Addition and Subtraction

• Assign unfinished problems in Part 1 or Part 2 of the Mulitdigit Addition Practice pages in the Student Activity Book.
• Assign unfinished problems in Part 1 or Part 2 of the Mulitdigit Subtraction Practice pages in the Student Activity Book.
• Students may take home extra Path to Glory Game: Subtraction game boards from the Student Activity Book to play the game with a family member.
• Assign DPP Items W–Z. Item W provides practice with measurement sense using inches and yards. In DPP item X, students represent and compare multidigit numbers. Item Y provides practice with solving and checking multidigit subtraction. Item Z provides practice estimating and solving problems involving four-digit numbers in the context of word problems.
• Assign Home Practice Parts 5–6. In Part 6, students practice multiplication concepts using rectangular arrays.

Math Facts. In Home Practice Part 5, students practice the subtraction facts related to the addition facts in Group F.
