Ask students to take turns pointing to the numbers as the class counts on the class number line.

For Questions 2, 4, and 5, ask students to use their desk number lines to help them count.

For Question 6, students should notice that all the numbers end in 5.

For Question 7, they should notice that all the numbers end in 1.

G. Skip Counting on the Number Line

Use your desk number line or the class number line to help you.

  1. Start at 0 and skip count by tens to 130.
  2. Start at 0 and skip count by fives to 65.
  3. Start at 80 and skip count by fives to 130.
  4. Start at 100 and skip count backwards by tens to 0.
  5. Start at 100 and skip count backwards by fives to 0.
  6. Start at 5 and skip count by tens to 125. What patterns did you see or hear as you counted?
  7. Start at 1 and skip count by tens to 121. What patterns did you see or hear as you counted?
