Exploring with Base-Ten Pieces

• Assign the Solve with Base-Ten Pieces Homework Master to give students additional practice making trades with base-ten pieces.
• Assign DPP items K–N. In item L, students will practice estimating sums. In item N, students practice moving on the number line.
• Assign Home Practice Parts 5–6. In Part 5, students practice partitioning a number. In Part 6, students solve problems involving money.

Math Facts. In DPP items K and M, students practice the addition facts in Group E.
