Class Party

• Assign Home Practice Parts 5–6. In Parts 5 and 6, students practice strategies for multidigit addition and subtraction. Students will need the Addition Strategies Menu and the Subtraction Strategies Menu in the Student Guide Reference section.
• Assign DPP items W–Z. Bit W uses the calendar to explore multiples and factors. Task X provides practice with using strategies to subtract multidigit numbers. In Bit Z, students play the Digits Game to make the smallest and largest difference.

Math Facts. Bit Y assesses students' abilities to use mental math strategies to subtract for the facts in Groups 1–4.
