Walking Around Shapes

• Assign The Walking Around Squares Homework page from the Student Activity Book after completing the Walking Around Triangles pages.
• Assign DPP items O–T. In Bit O, students solve a problem using multidigit subtraction strategies. Bit Q provides practice with fractions of an hour. In Task R, students practice trading coins using multiplication and division strategies. Bit S and Challenge T provide opportunities to review place value concepts.
• Task P can be assigned as the Problem of the Week.

Math Facts. In Task P students use area models to solve the multiplication facts for the square numbers.
