My Counting Book.
Staple 11 pieces of paper
together for each student. On the top page, have
students write their names and number the other
pages from 1 to 10. Students draw or glue pictures to represent the number on each page of
their books. For example, on page 5, students
draw or glue five objects. Students can complete
this activity in a center.
Around the School.
Take students around the
school to acquaint them with its physical layout
and to provide opportunities for further counting.
You can count the number of doorways to the
principal's office, the steps to the gymnasium, the
number of restrooms, and so on.
