Workshop: Addition and Subtraction Strategies

- Students can complete the problems they chose to solve on the Use Addition and Subtraction Strategies pages in the Student Activity Book and those on the Workshop: Addition and Subtraction Strategies pages in the Student Guide as homework.
- Assign DPP items A–D. In Task B, students compare numbers represented with multiples of ten and exponents.
- Assign Challenge D as a Problem of the Week. Students solve a multistep problem involving multiplication and division.
- Assign Home Practice Parts 1–2. In Part 2 students practice finding the median in a data set.
Math Facts. In DPP Bits A and C, students practice the multiplication and division facts for the nines. In Home Practice Part 1, students sort the Triangle Flash Cards to practice the multiplication and division facts for the nines.
