TIMS Bit

Students take the Division Facts Inventory Test. We recommend four minutes for this test. Allow students to change to different colored pencils or pens after four minutes and complete the test.

Since students learned the division facts through their work with fact families, if a student knows 27 ÷ 3 = 9, he or she most likely knows that 27 ÷ 9 = 3. To make sure, after the test ask students to write a related division fact for each fact on the test (other than the facts for the square numbers).
