TIMS Task

  1. Since there are 144 square inches in 1 square foot, there are 288 square inches in 2 square feet.
  2. A square yard is 3 feet by 3 feet or 36 inches by 36 inches. 36 × 36 = 1296 square inches. Or, 9 square feet × 144 sq inches = 1296 square inches.
  3. 1000 mm × 1000 mm = 1,000,000 sq mm

  2. How many square inches are there in one square yard?
  3. How many square millimeters are there in one square meter? (1 m = 1000 mm)
