Sharing Cookies

• Assign the Sharing Cookies with Three People Homework Master. Students partition cookies into fair shares and count the leftovers. For each problem, the number of people remains the same but the number of cookies changes.
• Assign DPP items G–J.
• In item G, students practice identifying even and odd numbers by making pairs of cubes. In item H, students find two and three partitions of 20 cubes and write the related number sentences. In item J, students divide a collection of objects into fair shares.

Math Facts. In DPP item I, students group and count pennies by fives and trade them for nickels.
