Materials Preparation

Prepare Optional Additional Practice. Use the Packing Cookies Work Mat Master to provide targeted practice for your students. Prepare several copies of the page ahead of time so they are available for additional practice or center activities. Place 40 counters or connecting cubes and a container with numbers from 11 to 40 written on slips of paper. Students can select a slip of paper from the container and use counters on the work mat to demonstrate how many full boxes of ten and how many leftovers represent the number on the slip of paper.
