TIMS Bit

Answers will vary depending on the factor for the month and the specific date of the DPP. The answers provided are based on using 7 as the factor. The date used for these answers is February 20th.

  1. 7
  2. No; Possible response: We have circled 7 and 14; the next date we will circle is 21.
  3. February 2 × 7 + 6 = 20
  4. Yes; Possible response: 20 is an even number and all even numbers are multiples of 2.
  5. No, 3 × 6 = 18 and 3 × 7 = 21. There is not a number that you multiply by 3 to get 20.
  6. Yes, 4 × 5 = 20. I also know because multiples of 5 end in 0 or 5 and 20 ends in 0.
  7. The pattern for the multiples of 7 is odd, even, odd, even. There is only one multiple of 7 each week. We have two more multiples of 7 to circle for this month.
