Introduce Coordinates

• Assign the Homework section of Introduce Coordinates in the Student Guide. These questions can be used to assess whether students can identify and plot ordered pairs on a four-quadrant grid.
• Assign students to play the Barrier Reef Game at home after playing in class. Students will need copies of the Four-Quadrant Grid Paper Master.
• Assign DPP items C–F. In Bit C, students review strategies for solving addition and subtraction. In Challenge D, students practice applying the order of operations. In Task F, students practice estimating sums and differences of fractions.

Math Facts. In Bit E, students find the multiplication and division fact families for the last six facts.
