Use DPP item C to provide practice with related addition and subtraction facts for Group A.

Encourage students to use Triangle Flash Cards to help them find the fact families.

  1. 4 + 2 = 6;     6 − 4 = 2;
    6 − 2 = 4

  2. 2 + 3 = 5;     5 − 3 = 2;
    5 − 2 = 3

Ongoing Assessment

Use DPP item C to assess students’ abilities to demonstrate fluency with the subtraction facts related to the addition facts in Group A [E6] and determine the unknown number in an addition or subtraction sentence relating three whole numbers for the facts in Group A [E7].
