How Long Does It Take

After students have drawn pictures illustrating various time intervals, make a sorting game with the pictures. Label each section of a display with appropriate time intervals (e.g., a few seconds, one minute, five minutes, one hour). Ask students to look at the pictures of the activities and place them with the appropriate time interval. After students have enjoyed this activity, a "Before and After" class book can be made with the drawings.
