Materials Preparation

Prepare sets of Fraction Circle Piece. In Lesson 3 students use the red, pink, orange, and aqua pieces from the fraction circle sets. Prepare a set of the pieces that they will need for this lesson and put away the remaining pieces in an additional bag. The subsets used in Lessons 2 and 3 will be used together in later lessons.

Fraction Names Chart. Display the chart made in Lesson 2. Students will add to the chart in this lesson.
