Number Sentences for Tile Designs

• Use the True or False Homework Master to provide more practice with true and false number sentences.
• Assign DPP items A–D. In DPP item B, students practice grouping and counting a collection of buttons. In item C, students answer questions using a data table, and in Item D they practice addition and subtraction in the context of word problems.
• Assign Home Practice Parts 1–2.

Math Facts. In DPP item A and Home Practice Part 1, students practice strategies for solving the addition facts in Group D. In Part 2, students practice solving doubles and near double strategies for the addition facts.
