3-D Shapes

Homework and Practice

  • After Part 1 of this lesson, assign the Homework section in the Student Guide. Students search for everyday three-dimensional shapes at home that can be added to the class collection for future lessons.
  • After Part 2 of this lesson, assign the Sketch 3-D Shapes Homework page in the Student Activity Book to have students identify and sketch 3-D shapes in their everyday world.
  • Assign DPP items S–V. Bit S provides practice with analyzing two-dimensional shapes. In Challenge V, students solve problems involving elapsed time.

Math Facts. In Task T, students solve problems that involve the multiplication and division facts for the 9s. In Bit U, students are reminded to revisit the daily routine with factors and multiples on the monthly calendar.

Remind students to take home their Triangle Flash Cards to prepare for the Assessment of their multiplication facts for nines in DPP Bits CC and GG.
