Tenths

• Assign the Homework section of the Student Guide after Part 2.
• Assign the Exploring Tenths pages in the Student Activity Book after Part 3.
• Assign Parts 3, 4, and 5 of the Home Practice as homework. In Part 3, students estimate and solve addition and subtraction problems. Part 4 provides addition, subtraction, and multiplication practice. Part 5 provides practice using strategies for computation.
• Assign DPP items E–H. Bit E asks students to consider when measuring to the nearest 1/4-inch is important. Task F compares square centimeters, square millimeters, and square meters. Task H involves paper and pencil or mental math to practice addition, subtraction, and multiplication.

Math Facts. DPP item G provides practice with fact families for the last six facts.
