We often use skip counting when we count objects. We group them by twos, fives, or tens. The leftovers are counted by ones. Before asking Questions 1–3, place 33 beans on a display and model skip counting by twos, fives, and tens and leftovers by ones. Skip count on a display of a 200 Chart and have a student show the same skip counting on the class number line.
