Students find the largest one-digit number that will provide a product that does not go over the target number. Students practice division facts by solving problems in which the division does not come out evenly.

K. Using Factors

Fill in the table. Find the largest second factor so that the product of the two numbers is close to the target number without going over the target number. Then write a number sentence to describe how you can reach the target number. The first row has been filled in for you.
