Use this DPP item to practice multiplication facts for the 9s. Remind students to label their answers.

  1. 9 children × 6 pencils = 54 pencils
  2. 7 puppies × 9 bones = 63 bones
  3. 9 dimes × 10¢ + 9 nickels × 5¢ + 9 pennies × 1¢ = 90¢ + 45¢ + 9¢ = $1.44
  4. 9 × 3 wheels + 9 × 2 wheels = 27 wheels + 18 wheels = 45 wheels
