Wholes and Parts

• Assign the Fraction Charts pages in the Student Activity Book as homework. Students complete the missing information on each chart, representing fractions as drawings, in words, with symbols, or as a decimal.
• Assign DPP items C–F. In Bit C, students practice finding the median of a set of data described in a story. In Task D, students measure the length of several pencils to the nearest tenth of a centimeter. In Task F, students practice adding time represented in hours and minutes.

Math Facts. In Bit E, students practice the multiplication and division facts for the 5s and 10s.
