At the Circus: Compare
Est. Class Sessions: 1Summarizing the Lesson
To reflect on the work in this lesson, have student pairs look around the room for comparison situations and write comparison problems on paper. For example: There are 5 books and 6 students. How many more students than books?
Student pairs read their problems and ask the class to write the addition and subtraction number sentences for the problem. Have students tell which number answers the question by drawing a box around the number in the addition and subtraction number sentences. Discuss strategies students used to solve the problems.
