Thinking about Number Sentences

• Assign the Missing Numbers Homework Master after Part 1 of the lesson. It reviews missing addend problems similar to those that students have completed before and it will help prepare students for the discussion in Part 2.
• Assign the More Missing Numbers Homework Master provides another opportunity for students to complete number sentences to make them true using a variety of tools and strategies.
• Assign DPP items Q–T. In Item Q, students use symbols to compare quantities. In item S, students practice telling time with a one-handed clock. In item T, students practice partitioning and combining numbers.

Math Facts. DPP item R provides practice with the subtraction facts related to the addition facts in Group A.
