Homework and Practice

  • Assign Questions 1–2 of the Homework section in the Student Guide after Part 1 and Questions 3–4 after Part 2.
  • Assign Home Practice Parts 5 and 6. Part 5 reviews partitioning numbers using base-ten hoppers on a number line. Part 6 provides practice with strategies for solving multidigit addition and subtraction problems.
  • Assign DPP Items EE–HH. DPP Bit EE reviews addition computation. Item HH provides practice finding unknowns in equations using place value concepts.
  • DPP Item FF can be used as a problem of the week. Students use number lines to solve challenging addition and subtraction problems.

Math Facts. DPP Bit GG is a quiz on the 9s. Record student progress on the Math Facts Class Record.
