TIMS Task

Use DPP item V to solve problems involving multiplication and division facts for 5s and 10s. DPP item V can be used as a Problem of the Week.

  1. There are several solutions to this problem. Possible responses could include: 1 nickel and 6 dimes, 3 nickels and 5 dimes, 5 nickels and 4 dimes, 7 nickels and 3 dimes, 9 nickels and 2 dimes, or 11 nickels and 1 dime.
  2. 1 dime; 11 nickels

There are some nickels and dimes on the counter. The total is 65 cents.
