  1. Possible response: I thought about 90 × 10 = 900. Since 900 is close to 1068, my answer is reasonable.
  2. Possible response: I first thought 7000 + 9000 = 16000, then 500 + 200 = 700, and 1 + 24 = 25. Finally, I added 16000 + 700 + 25 = 16,725.
